Henry Bialowas is a Chartered Architect ARAIA ARB 5673 and member of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.

Henry has practised in the Bathurst regional area for the past thirty years. His early background working in Sydney and Melbourne was working on Hotels, Clubs and large scale Regional Shopping Centres, Medical Centres as well as Residential projects.

In Bathurst he has worked on similar projects as well as many historical restoration projects, like Bunnamagoo, Westham, and also Conservation Management Plans for the Bathurst TAFE and the Bathurst War Memorial Carillon among others. He is a published author and member of the Bathurst & District Historical Society, whose researches have added to the richness of Bathurst’s colourful history. His pursuit of the history of the Town Square with others has in recent years resulted in the due recognition and reinstatement of this intensely historical precinct.

Bialowas & Assoc. Pty Ltd Chartered Architects provide a wide variety of building related services.

These range from advice on simple building and planning matters for alterations and additions, to heritage issues and master planning for large projects and town planning matters. Our design services include works for residential, commercial, industrial, Government and Institutional projects.

Our design and documentation for building and tendering includes 3D design graphics which enable clients to more fully understand what the building will look like and how it will function for their specific needs.

We provide Heritage Impact Statements and Conservation Management Plans where required by Councils.

All building work requires some form of documentation which needs to be presented to Statutory Authorities like Councils before they go to builders. Such documents need to fulfil a complex range of legal requirements from The Building code of Australia, Australian Standards, State and Regional Planning Regulations and in many cases, the Disabled Persons Discrimination Act. Specialised buildings need to comply with additional requirements, for example Health Department Regulations, food premises, Licensed Premises, and Gaming Premises and so on.

Buildings today also need to meet a range of statutory environmental requirements in respect to the use of water, energy, and insulation. Councils now require shadow diagrams for most projects.
